February Student Leader of the Month

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

On behalf of the Washburn Student Bar Association, it is time to congratulate the February recipient of the Student Leader Award: Codie Webster. Each month, the WSBA Executive Council selects one student who has done an exemplary job of going above and beyond the normal demands of law student life to make an impact on our school. This student is recognized as our Student Leader of the Month.

Codie Webster has been a source of smiles and friendliness at Washburn Law for the last two-and-a-half years. Ms. Webster began her tenure at Washburn Law not only as a diligent student, but also as Representative-at-Large for the Washburn Student Bar Association. Codie would not only serve in this role but would also go on to serve as her section rep and as the head of the Bylaws Revision Committee.

After her tenure with the Washburn Student Bar Association, Ms. Webster began gaining practical hands on experience as the Washburn Law Office under the mentorship of Mr. John Paul Washburn, where she has faithfully served as a clerk for the last year and a half.

In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Webster graciously to step in at the last minute and serve in her final year of law school as the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International’s Social Chair. Codie has spearheaded over 7 events in her time in the role, including parties, the Chief’s game, and the Homecoming Tailgate!

What is perhaps most impressive about Ms. Webster is her ability to juggle all of this with a smile on her face and a listening ear. Anyone who has had the pleasure of interacting with Ms. Webster knows she is a loyal friend who is ready and willing to listen to your problems and offer a comforting word. Ms. Webster is a friend to all and a stranger to no one.

If you see Codie in the hallway, please congratulate her on this awesome achievement!
