Student Leader of the Month for September!

Lauren Young has worked diligently to be involved at Washburn in both the Classroom and the Courtroom. Lauren served as the 1A Representative on WSBA throughout her 1L year and played a pivotal role in seeing the 2017 Barristers’ Ball be a success. Although her term came an end, Lauren is still dedicated to the mission of WSBA and has continued to volunteer to make the 2018 Barristers’ Ball just as successful as her first. Lauren was recently selected for the Moot Court team, where she made it all the way to the final round in oral arguments. Lauren has provided a guiding light to new 1Ls, encouraging them to get involved. Most recently, she has accepted an intern position with the Johnson County District Attorney’s for Summer 2019.
